RNGD is one of the fastest-growing general contractors in the Gulf Coast of the United States. Founded in 2013, the company has quickly scaled to 400 employees and $150M+ in annual revenue, with aspirations to double that in the next 2–3 years.

But as RNGD grew, their systems began to hold them back.

The Challenge: An Old Integration That Couldn’t Keep Up

When RNGD first implemented Viewpoint Spectrum (ERP) alongside Procore, they worked with the only integration provider they knew of to connect the two systems. But instead of streamlining operations, the integration created new bottlenecks:

  • Critical gaps: Owner contracts and owner change orders (OCOs) lived in Procore but couldn’t flow into Spectrum, forcing project teams to double-enter data. They expected the integration to enable the operations team to stay entirely out of the ERP, so double-entering data in the ERP diminished the value they expected
  • Error messages that went nowhere: Troubleshooting was painful — error messages were vague and difficult to interpret. “It felt like a language better suited for data analysts,” explained Jamie DeLucca, RNGD’s Director of Accounting.
  • Manual rework at scale: When syncs failed, the only option was brute force: typing the same information into Spectrum line-by-line.

The result was frustration, wasted time, and risk. For large projects, the pain was amplified.

  • Better error handling: Error messages actually made sense, because Agave translated technical jargon into plain english, empowering RNGD to self-troubleshoot instead of escalating every issue.

Agave’s impact was immediate. RNGD’s accounting and project teams no longer lose hours to double entry or manual troubleshooting. Owner change orders, pay apps, and costs flow automatically between systems, reducing risk and giving staff time back for higher-value work.
